Steps 1 through 3 are just as meaningless cult inductrination as the rest of the 12 steps to hell are. AA sucks.

a cult? u can get up out of your chair at anytime. i sat and stayed and that "dependence" has now made me more independent in every aspect of my life. KEEP COMING BACK!

It is sad that an educated man of clergy could be so brainwashed that he would promote a cult that is in every way counter to his own theology.

Thanks so much for sharing this! It's good to hear the depth the value of the 1st step. What Father Martin said of the step has been my experience. So good to hear.

Wonderful stuff. Can you post more? I remember taking my wife to hear "Chalk Talk" when I was new to sobriety (early 70's) It was so helpful - especially to my wife who was trying hard to understand alcoholism and trying to understand AA . Thank you! |
