Finally, I wish to add that the translation of the reporter in this Documentary was way far from accurate -I hope now you can tell that I can speak and comprehend both Arabic & English pretty well- and he added his own sayings in almost every line he translated. If there is anything accurate in this documentary it would be the part of approvals for building Churches. Its harder for our Coptic brethren to get that approval than it is to get for a mosque. I do hope that will change soon. Thanks.

and Second, this slum is not the only slum in Cairo or in Egypt as a whole. In fact other areas in Cairo, Alexandria, Portsaid, Delta and southern Egypt is swarming with the likes of em; and they all suffer the same lack of hygiene, High rate of poverty & illiterate people; and they are inhabited by both Coptics & Muslims. In fact the count of Muslim Egyptians living in the likes of these slums exceeds the number of coptics probably 100% all over Egypt.

This area isn't a Coptic ghetto as the Documentary referred to it, but its an area dominated by christian inhabitants due to the nature of business taking place there -Pig ranches- and that is simply a cultural and religious difference that has nothing to do with any discrimination or abuse to the C Coptics of Egypt. Its just a poor neighborhood which for a religious reason pushed the Muslims out WITHOUT locking the Christians in at all.

I have to say I am quite shocked by this documentary. I am an Egyptian and I live in Cairo, very close to the "Zabaleen" area -Manshyat Nasir-, and even thought I could just say I don't care, but I think its my duty as a citizen of this country to say something about it since I see it & live next to it for my whole life; and everyone is free to believe what he/she wish to believe; but what I am about to say is simply the truth I see with my own eyes everyday
