All we need is a green revolution similar to the one we had in the middle of the century.

massive amounts HAVE NOT GONE IN. just dont look at america, look at EU too. Ethanol has been the preferred way of making bio-deisel only in the US and Brazil. The popultaion growth has exceeded growth in food production in recent years due to industrial growth as it did in the begining of the 20th century (AND OFCOURSE SPECULATION, you can see cost of food risisng but retailers still achieve higher profits).

Nah, don't know about the 40s, but in the 70s there was only a 5% decline in production and the americans was fighting over fuel. Today the production is in real trouble and it has been since 2004, was we will see and hopefully live through has never happened in history, there is no quick fix or simple solution and massive amount of food has gone to produce ethanol and diesel.

Lol. The sad thing is that you are absolutely right :)

Excellent video and message! We really need to step back and see what we are doing to our planet. We need a fuel that's clean and free, such as solar. We shouldn't be taking food from our stomach to put in our gas tanks. To me that is a NO WIN situation.

we are just like bacteria in ethanol process.give us wormth and enery (food) and we will reproduce till we die in our shit.

Yes, I expected better from independent film-makers. I mean, if the UN can't solve it; surely these guys can.

tyhis is factually in correct. Oil exporting countries are meeting demand (OPEC president) and bio-feuls are only using corn and food prices are simply going up due to rising population..its nothing to do with bio-fuels, a scenario similar to the 40s |
