This was helpful thanks. The every-other-day bit hit home with me. I'm a binge drinker too and I can sense that my drinking is getting out of control. At the minute it's like a car heading backwards down the hill without the handbrake off. I'm not travelling backwards enough for people to take it seriously but if I don't do anything about it soon.....well that's what scares me. I don't want to have to hit a really low point to stop.

very weird my dad fed me beers when i was 5 he thought it would be funny to see me sneak the beer he left on a table on purpose in front of his friends 28 years later i battle everyday now really want to give it up my dad he died of a drug overdose go figure.....

Hi, sorry this is a long comment so I will have to do it in blocks! I just want to say thanks for making your videos and for your honesty. You are an extremely genuine person. I was so glad to find them this evening because I really craved a drink tonight even though I am hungover from last night. Before I went to buy some this evening It decided to go on you tube to see if there were other people out there who find resisting the urge to drink every night as difficult as I do.

Vicky,im happy to watch ur videos abt alcoholism,as im interested in that field [i study psychology];however,i cant agree with your statement which goes "im an alcoholic cause that was passed to me through gens". ppl become alcoholics cause of the addiction, not because of the gens..if you got the gens from ur familly members who are/were alcoholics,it might increase your risk become of alcoholic,but never will do this without your alcohol consumption and certain attitude,means-ur action..

I just wanted to say thank you for your videos, i have watched all of them and you have a great personality and energy. Youre videos have helped me in my new sobriety.Thank you once again.I know what you mean about giving alcohol to kids, my sister gave it to me several times when she was 16 and i was 10. This was the start of a long relationship with alcohol.Please dont stop making your videos they are very inspiring and i appreciatte it.Thank you

Nice video. I am an alcoholic.If I don't drink for a day or so I start freaking out and get terrible withdrawing symptoms.It's hard to stop drinking when you resent your very existence.
